How I Help

Good communication starts
long before the design.

I help organizations bring clarity, structure, and purpose to their communications through thoughtful design.

Clarify

Identify what matters most.

Refine messaging, priorities, and audience communication so people quickly understand who you are and why your work matters.

Structure

Organize information around how people actually engage.

Navigation, content hierarchy, and user pathways become easier to understand and easier to use.

Design & Build

Translate strategy into practical communication tools.

Websites, publications, reports, presentations, and branded materials developed to support the mission and the people they serve.

BKIM DESIGN

Clear communication helps meaningful work move forward.

Many organizations do meaningful work but struggle to communicate it clearly.

I help nonprofits, ministries, educational organizations, and mission-driven businesses clarify their message, structure their content, and create communication tools that support their goals.

 ABOUT BKIM DESIGN

BKIM Design is the independent practice of Bernie Kim, a Honolulu-based designer who has helped organizations communicate clearly and effectively for more than 35 years.

My work begins by understanding what matters most: the people you serve, the message you want to communicate, and the goals you hope to achieve. From there, I help organize information, establish structure, and create communications that are clear, useful, and visually engaging.

Over the years, I have worked with consultants, nonprofit organizations, ministries, educational institutions, and mission-driven businesses—helping them communicate through websites, publications, reports, presentations, and other communication tools.

Whether developing a website, designing a publication, or refining a complex message, my goal is the same: to help organizations communicate clearly, connect with their audiences, and advance the work that matters most.

Every project begins with clarity. Good structure follows. Effective design makes both visible.

Selected Works

Examples of strategy, structure, and design in practice.

Each organization has its own mission, audience, and challenges. While every project is different, the goal remains the same: helping people understand, engage, and connect with work that matters.
